Yesterday was a very tough day for me for my 12 step recovery. I struggled all day with emotions and cravings–that’s the first time that has happened to this degree since I began 53 days ago. But I persevered, tried to figure out what was going on with me to cause the difficulties (I had not slept good for 3 nights in a row and I was exhausted!). So, I know tha I MUST make sure I get adequate sleep because that is CRUCIAL to my healing and recovery process. I did “give in” and bought some ice cream, but it was sugar-free and lactose-free and I did not eat all of it. I did go over my calories for the day by about 100 but that too is not that bad in the grand scheme of things because I have not gone over my calories in over 40 days and there are plenty of days that I was under my calories by 300 or more. So…I can learn to live with one bad day that wasn’t as bad as it could have been–thankfully.
I came across this video today and found it very inspiring–people all over the world are changing their lives too!
